Shipment

1.What countries do you ship to?

Using the international postal system, we can ship to virtually every country in the world by registered mail. Please note that, when we cannot ship to a country by FedEx or DHL, as our government do not permit but, we can still ship by registered mail. For information on transit time and cost, please see our Shipping page. Please note that we reserve the right not to ship to certain countries due to unreliable postal services or high risk of theft.

2. Is the shipping cost per item or per package?

The shipping cost is always per package, unless the item is valuable the shipping cast may increase as insurance premium increases. You may have as many items as you wish. The only thing is the insurance, rest the shipping cost is same.

3. Do I have to pay import duty or tax on gemstones I buy from GemSelect?

Every country has different rules on import duty and tax. For example, in the USA there is no duty or tax on loose gemstones. Many countries do have import tax, including most European countries and Canada. Australia allows duty-free import of gemstones up to AUS $1,000 as of 31.05.2014

4. Can I have my order shipped to a different address than my billing address?

Yes, we are glad to ship your order to an address different from your billing address. You will have the option of entering a separate shipping address. If you checkout with Visa or MasterCard, you'll have an opportunity to enter a different shipping address after you enter your billing address.

5. How can I track delivery of my order?

When we ship your order we send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number for your shipment. If your order is shipped by EMS SPEED POST you can check the status of your shipment on the EMS SPEED POST website. When shipped by DHL please us the DHL website. If your order has been shipped by Global Express Airmail to the USA, you can check the status on the UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE (USPS) website. Registered mail shipments need to be tracked by the postal service in the destination country. Many countries provide online tracking for registered mail, but some do not.

6. What happens if my order is lost in the mail?

All of our shipments are fully insured, so you have no risk when you order from us. Please note that Express Shipments (FedEx and DHL) are insured for the full value of the shipment, but that Registered Mail and Global Express Airmail shipments are insured for up to USD $200 only. For larger orders we strongly recommend Express shipping (FedEx or DHL) but since our country customs dosen't permit we ship through reputed agents like B.V.C or MALCA-AMIT and many more, which is the fastest and most reliable shipping method to most places in the world.
